The Sixties

Mr. Rose and I get out of the house for an hour of adult chat with a few neighbors once a week.  Totally cool, I know!  We actually leave the kids, homework, dinner dishes, and diabetes with a sitter while we head up a little hill and around the corner to hang out with some friends.  Basically we talk about applying the Bible to our everyday lives…and, even though I’ve hardly ever needed to use it, my phone is never out of reach.

But it rang tonight…

“Mom?  I’m in the 60’s.”

“Okay.  What’s your number?”

“Well, I still need to test.  I’m doing it now, but I know I’m in the 60’s.”

(insert Jeopardy music here)

“Yeah.  I’m 68.”

It never fails to amaze…the way she recognizes those 60’s spot on!

I wish I could detect them that good… the way I used to back in the day. Oh well. That’s a great tool that hopefully doesn’t fade over time. Though, sorry you had to use your phone that night.

That means she’s really in touch with how her body feels, how great that she can tell things are “off” before it becomes too off. And good for you to getting out with your guy once a week 🙂

She is way cool that she can recognize exactly where she is at. I hope she always has that ability!

I play a “guess my number” game when I’m testing in front of friends. I’ve gotten pretty good at guessing…give or take 10.

PS: Totally excited to meet you this weekend!!
